Under normal circumstances, co-parenting can be difficult. When families are in crisis rules, expectations and agreements can become strained by the emotional factors created by the crisis. COVID-19 has taken over our lives in a way that we had ALL had to adjust. No one saw it coming and we were not fully prepared for its impact. Our very lives have been impacted and along with it the way we co-relate with each other.
We receive many phone calls at Fathers Incorporated from dads and moms who are struggling to make things work as parents. Ironically, those calls have increased over the last week. As a result, we have decided to provide some level of assistance and support for dads who are challenged by the restrictions placed on our lives as a result of the COVID-19 and still maintain some level of normalcy in their responsibilities as parents.
This first workshop; EFFECTIVE CO-PARENTING COMMUNICATION DURING CRISIS for DADS will help both dads and moms understand the variables that could be contributing to their inability to find common ground as parents. We will also offer 3 ways to improve their personal relationship so that this is not a barrier to the success of their parenting relationship.
